The Trending Beauty Products That Celebrities Actually Use!

Product: Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask

Celeb who loves it: Selena Gomez

Why she loves it: These trending sheet masks from Korea are a huge hit with celebs, because they’re designed to give you glass skin. It’s a gel mask stacked with Salmon DNA serum - also known as PDRN Pink Collagen. The main difference with this mask is that you can sleep with it on and wear it overnight. You could also wear it in the daytime. Simply apply  your toner or serum, apply the mask and leave it on for 3-4 hours or until it becomes transparent. I love how affordable this one is!

Product: Smashbox Be Legendary Line & Prime Lip Pencil in Shade True Red with MAC Locked Kiss 24H Lipstick in the shade Ruby True.

Celeb who loves it: Taylor Swift

Why she loves it: Taylor Swift’s lipstick combo was finally revealed in the Taylor Swift: The End of an Era docuseries on Disney Plus. Taylor relied on this signature red lipstick combination to stay put for her eras tour show - she put the lipliner all over her lips and then swiped the long-wear lipstick on top. I loved how in the documentary you could even see as she was applying it that the lip pencil was worn right down to the nub! Taylor is just like us - likes to use her faves right until the end!

Product: Current Body LED Light Therapy Mask

Celeb who loves it:  Kim Kardashian

Why she loves it: These trending LED face masks are incredible for collagen building and smoothing fine lines and improving skin texture and tone. All you need is to sit back and relax for 10 minutes. It’s an investment piece so you want to be dedicated to using it to get the most benefit! I feel like nearly every celeb incorporates a version of an LED mask into their routine.

Product: Makeup By Mario Master Mattes Eyeshadow Palette

Celeb who loves it: Lili Reinhart

Why she loves it:  Lili actually recently shared with me on my podcast that she loves this eyeshadow palette. The reason being that she has very sensitive eyes and she can’t tolerate any sparkles or shimmer. These eyeshadow shades are curated by makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic and they’re all soft matte hues - no shimmer - that blend smoothly and beautifully.

Product: Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

Celeb who loves it:  Victoria Beckham is on record as loving this, and many more.

Why she loves it: There are certain products that are just iconic and never go out of style that are beloved by celebs. And one of those is Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. Victoria Beckham says she swears by it  - even though she has her own beauty line. It’s beloved because it is a multi-purpose salve that you can use on your face, body and it’s genius to soften cracked heels or as a quick fix for ragged cuticles.

Breakfast Television Toronto - How to Decode Your Beauty Labels

Airdate: May 21 2026
The average woman owns 40+ beauty products, but keeping on top of what we own and when we started using it – that's a whole different story! And while using expired makeup can seem harmless it can actually mean breakouts, skin rashes, or just a product that's lost its efficacy. Here’s your guide to keeping your beauty musts as safe as possible!

Code 1: THE LITTLE JAR symbol: aka "PAO = Period After Opening"

  • What it means: The “Period After Opening” symbol indicates a number + M = months the product stays good after you break the seal.

  • Common ones: 6M (mascara, liquid liner), 12M (foundation, lipstick), 24M (powders, eyeshadow).

  • Why it matters: Preservatives break down once air hits it. A 24M foundation opened you’ve been hanging on to since 2016? Toss it.

  • tip: Eye products are the strictest — any change in smell, texture, or color = done, regardless of the number.

  • Expert Hack: Write the opening date in a Sharpie on the bottom of your product, or snap a photo of it on your camera roll so you can refer back and know you opened it.

Code 2: The Mobius Loop.

  • What it means: You can recycle some, or all, of the packaging.

  • The chasing-arrows triangle with a resin number (1, 2, 5 = usually yes; 7 = usually no)

  • Expert tip: Explore  brand-specific take-back programs like TerraCycle, MAC’s Back-to-MAC, Kiehl's.

Code 3 — The Best Before Date Stamp.

  • What it means: BBE “Best Before End” date — the product has a shelf life under 30 months even unopened. Look for a date next to it.

  • Expert tip: Often this date stamp appears only on the exterior packaging or box, not on the actual product itself so be sure to use your sharpie and write on the product when you started using it, or again create a “Beauty products” photos folder in your phone, and snap a photo of the product. That way, you’ll have a record of when you started using it.

Code 4: Leaping bunny certified logo
For those that want to shop consciously, this symbol indicates that the product is cruelty free according to LeapingBunny.org.

Expert tip: There are other governing bodies out there but in my research, Leaping Bunny is the most thorough.

Code 5: Seal of Acceptance from the Canadian Dermatology Association.

What it means: With this seal of approval from the Canadian Dermatology Association, you can have peace of mind that your SPF is vetted, and it is living up to the claims on the label.

This seal is a useful one to be on the lookout for, especially as warmer weather is upon us and you’re shopping for sunscreen.

For the plumpest, softest skin ever, get your hands on these hydration helpers. Minimalism is having a moment – between the slew of documentaries, bestselling books and #hygge design trends, I’ve been inspired to cut the clutter, especially on my bathroom vanity. Paring down the plethora of lotions and potions in favour of a do-it-all moisturizer straight from the #topshelf of Korea’s beauty insiders.

As someone who can’t get enough exfoliation, I usually end up over-doing it, irritating my skin, and need to reset my routine with a super hydrating moisturizer that won’t make my sensitive skin unhappy. Right now I’m digging belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb. It contains lady’s mantle, a powerful plant (with the best name) that helps to shrink the appearance of pores, oat husk, prized for its ability to boost moisture in the skin and free-radical fighting malachite – a copper mineral that puts the brakes on free radical damage (the invisible damage we can’t see from UV rays, pollution and more). The result is skin looks super fresh, hydrated and I swear it has more spring to it. One of the biggest things I look for in a moisturizer is that it’s not too thick or heavy as I’m prone to shine and thanks to the gel-like texture it absorbs right away so it never “pills” when you put makeup on top.

If you want skin to be even more satiated with moisture, opt for the belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb. I’ll reach for this one if I’m travelling a lot and my skin looks weathered. It’s free of parabens, mineral oil so you get the most from its key moisturizing ingredients like glycerin.
